Breakout modules provide the simplest development hardware for the FT-X series of devices. To reduce cost the USB interconnect is simply tracking on the PCB which plugs directly into the USB host socket. The interface connector is a standard 0.1" pitch socket.

The module is ready to use when plugged in to enable instant development work to begin.

Complete evaluation and prototyping platform for FT12 series devices. The UMFT12XEV contains an LPC1114 controller to host the FT12X daughter card to enable testing of firmware for the FT12 series devices. Each device (FT120, FT121, and FT122) has a separate daughter card to plug-in to the UMFT12XEV and a mini-B USB connector for attaching to external USB host controllers.

The FT2232H Mini Module is a USB to dual channel serial/MPSSE/FIFO interface converter module based on the FT2232H USB Hi-Speed IC. The FT2232H handles all the USB signalling and protocol handling. The module provides access to device I/O interfaces via 2 double row 0.1" pitch male connectors. The module is ideal for development purposes to quickly prove functionality of adding USB to a target design.

Several modules demonstrating the capabilities of the new Vinculum IC are available, including DIP modules, add-on modules and dedicated application modules.

A quantity discount structure also makes these modules suitable for incorporation into low/medium volume finished product designs.

A range of modules based on the FT232R IC are now available from FTDI and its distribution channels. These new modules include USB - RS232 converters, DIP modules and a mini-module only slightly larger than a USB connector.

These products allow customers to quickly evaluate the FT232R device and drivers prior to commencing their own design.

Modules such as the UM245R basic DIP module can be used to quickly evaluate the FT245R device before incorporating it into a design.

Dip Modules allow customers to quickly evaluate our devices and drivers prior to commencing their own design. Some modules simply incorporate the FTDI device and essential support components into a convenient DIP format, whilst others have an on-board microcontroller as well.

These modules are suitable for incorporating directly into low/medium volume product designs as they can plug into standard DIP sockets.

FT232BM and FT245BM based evaluation kits available from FTDI include USB to serial adaptors, temperature and humidity sensors, data acquisition boards, PIC development platforms, prototyping kits and learning kits.

FT2232C, FT232BM and FT245BM based wireless networking modules and accessories. These RF transceiver modules are designed to enable wireless networking within a home, office or factory environment by replacing the wiring typically found between a microcontroller/DSP/FPGA, etc. and host PC.

The DLP-RF1 and DLP-RF2 ZigBee ready transceivers have been granted modular approval. Under this approval, customer designs meeting a few basic requirements need not undergo additional regulatory agency (FCC, Industry Canada) transmitter testing.
