SEGGER’s Flasher PRO is an in-system programming (ISP) tool for programming non-volatile memory that is soldered onto a printed circuit board. ISP is also known as in-circuit programming (ICP).The memories that can be programmed range from microcontroller and system-on-a-chip (SoC) internal flash memory to external parallel flash memory (CFI Flashes) and Quad SPI (QSPI) flash memory. QSPI can also be programmed by connecting directly to the pins. Flasher PRO is fast, robust, and reliable, and it is engineered to deal with almost all industry flash programming requirements. It can be used in standalone or PC-based mode, and it connects via USB or Ethernet ports, or an RS232 interface.

The Flasher PRO XL is the extra-large memory version of SEGGER’s Flasher PRO. With all the same features of the Flasher PRO, the Flasher PRO XL expands upon the original’s 128 MB memory with 2 Gigabytes times as much internal flash memory. This memory can be used to store a variety of large program images. With its huge memory capacity, Flasher PRO XL can also program target systems running large footprint OSes such as Android, Linux, and Windows IoT.

Flasher Compact is the streamlined twin to Flasher PRO and is primarily designed for installation into production rigs or automated test equipment (ATE) where space is limited. This in-circuit flash programming tool can be used to program both the internal and external memory of an MCU or system on a chip (SoC), as well as a quad-SPI (QSPI) memory chip directly connected to it.

The Flasher ARM is used to program the non-volatile memories of Arm-based microcontrollers and Systems-on-a-Chip (SoCs) as well as external flashes like (Q)SPI flashes that are directly connected to the microcontroller. It can be used in stand-alone or PC-based mode and connects via USB, Ethernet or an RS232 interface. Like the Flasher PRO , it has a 20-pin connector, which is compatible with the standard 20-pin JTAG connector defined by Arm. Various adapters are available.

Flasher Portable PLUS is a rugged handheld programmer for updating microcontroller firmware. It is optimized for in-field use in harsh environments, supports both on-chip and external flash memory, and works with a variety of target interfaces (including JTAG, SWD, FINE, and SPD). It is highly portable and operates without an external power supply, making it ideal for situations where traditional programming methods aren’t feasible.

The Flasher Secure is designed to protect intellectual property to the last inch in the production process. Whether the programming system is used on-premise or at an external manufacturing company, the goal is to protect the intellectual property against unauthorized copying. Owners enjoy full control over the programming process even when they outsource production to CMs.

Flasher ATE2 is a robust single-board gang programmer with eight independent programming channels. It is designed for high-volume automated production settings and automated test environments (ATEs) where space is limited and direct integration with automated machinery critical. Flasher ATE2 is tailored to users who simultaneously program multiple target devices, making it an ideal solution for manufacturers seeking optimized workflows.

As the compact version of the Flasher Hub-12, the Flasher Hub-4 controls multiple Flasher Compacts so that they program simultaneously. Up to 24 Flashers can be connected using one or multiple SEGGER USB Hubs to create a powerful gang programmer for efficient high-volume parallel programming.

SEGGER’s Flasher Hub-12 controls up to 24 Flasher Compact units serving as individual channels for parallel, high-speed gang programming. Each channel can be configured to program a different device or a different firmware image.

The Flasher Hub-12/Flasher Compact system is set up just once per channel using SEGGER’s Flasher software package. The software depends on the type of flash chip being programmed. The Flasher Hub-12 can receive commands and send results”stand-alone” via TELNET, a desktop PC is not required for control.
