With its LLVM compiler
technology based Development Platform, HighTec provides full
support for the ARM Cortex-R52 based multi-core
microcontrollers (MCUs).
STMicroelectronics named HighTec as compiler vendor in the
ST Partner Program that supports the new Stellar MCUs. The
HighTec toolset is supported by other vendors in the Stellar
ecosystem, such as debugger and AUTOSAR OS vendors.

MCAL
Drivers and CDD
HighTec offers ST’s full set of software
components for the AUTOSAR Microcontroller
Abstraction Layer (MCAL) in addition to
Complex Device Drivers (CDD) to support
specific hardware peripherals.
MCAL Drivers includes low-level drivers that
enable the creation of optimized operating
systems, and that conform to the AUTomotive
Open System ARchitecture (AUTOSAR).
MCAL drivers adhere to the ISO 26262
standard and are compatible with the AUTOSAR
framework. Using these drivers, engineers
can write code that’s easily portable to
other hardware configurations or various car
makers. |

Security Pack
Software Security Library includes a set of
cryptographic algorithms. Taking advantage
of the hardware accelerators embedded in the HSM, ST's engine control unit (ECU)
processors support EVITA Medium and Full
security profiles.
The Security Pack helps use, test, and
configure the hardware security module (HSM)
that is at the center of fundamental
functionalities, such as secure firmware
install or updates, and cryptographic
operations |
Safety Pack
The Safety Pack is a comprehensive software
package designed for SPC5 family of 32-bit
automotive microcontrollers, has been
rigorously developed according to an ISO
26262-compliant development process, and
helps developers achieve the required safety
target, up to the most rigorous ASIL-D
level.
SPC5 Safety Pack includes a Safety kit for
the Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL)
as well as Core self-test programs that
implement safety counter-measures to ensure
compliance with MCU ASIL level requirements.
ST’s Core self-test is a fault-graded
software library delivered with a certified
test coverage for each core unit
(arithmetic-logic, data path, address
calculation, interrupt handling and control
logic).
Both the Safety and Security Pack provide
APIs compatible with the AUTOSAR framework
to facilitate development operations
further. |
